These ponies are a unique and uncommon variety called Marawri just found in Rajasthan, breed to be solid rangers ponies, fearless in fight and fit for working in desert like scenes. They have an exceptionally charming, recognizing highlight as their ear tips twist internal, nearly getting together, which I totally venerated.
The Marawari variety of pony have very charming ears
Well out of the city furthest reaches of Udaipur and up into the dusty slopes we rode serenely through dry, desert like vistas and past dry, dusty fields where men worked hard to earn enough to pay the rent while birds took off above.
We went through little, natural towns where ladies crouched by the way halted in their work and youngsters ran out of their hovels waving enthusiastically. Being on horse back felt more at one with nature and permitted a lot of time to take everything in.
As we rode back I took in the wide, open spaces around us of hot, dusty scene and natural towns that parted with a knowledge into rustic life from the royal residences and vacationer
Back in the old city we investigated the thin, winding rear entryways finding the wonderful artistic creations and inquisitive little shops; purchasing piles of bangles, small elephant gifts, pashminas, compositions, books, ganesh figures, alli baba pants, smaller than normal auto cart toys and all the other things that accepting our extravagant as this was our last stop prior to getting back to Mumbai. The experience was made more pleasant as we got significantly not so much problem but rather more sensible costs here than in different pieces of India where in any event, looking at a shop can wind up with twelve vendors pursuing you down the road attempting to sell something at multiple times the cost.
Not long prior to getting our last sleeper train back to Mumbai we went through our last evening eating incredible baked food on a rooftop top neglecting the lake, drinking kingfisher brews and watching the astonishing radiant orange shine of the red sun as it vanished behind the mountains, leaving a brilliant sparkle on the royal residences and sparkling lights gleaming and reflecting in the smooth lake.
